Three days ago I graduated as a doctor.....Today I found out I definitely need brain surgery! Not quite the start to my career i had hoped for!
So I've decided to start a blog about my journey, the operation and all that goes with it, and the road to recovery!!
I'm sure it will involve some moaning but that's not it's main purpose! It's for me to document how I'm feeling, how I'm coping and as something to look back at once I've got through it all!
Am I scared?... U bet I am! But I also feel things happen for a reason and although when I first found out my diagnosis I felt the world was coming to an end... I decided I wasn't going to let it! I concentrated on my exams and worked hard and took each day as it came!
And that's where I'm at now! Due to start work and waiting for surgery! This summer is going to be the biggest learning curve ever! Not only am I going to learn what being a doctor is really all about but I'm going to learn how to be a patient... and I believe the latter will be much harder than it sounds!
